After a lot of rumors and mixed news it is official now that Gremlins 3 is going to happen, According to franchise star Zach Galligan. The movie will be direct sequel to the first two films and it will be set 30 years after the original movie.
Galligan recently appeared at a screening for the original 1984 film at London’s Prince Charles Cinema, and he did a little Q&A session with the audience. It was there he revealed the plans of the sequel:
“It’s not going to be a reboot. It will not be a remake in any way, shape, or form. Chris Columbus has come out and said that the first film is very near and dear to his heart and as long as he is alive it will never be remade.”
The actor then likened the sequel to Jurassic World:
“So the only thing they will be – and apparently are going to be – doing is something along the lines of like Jurassic World, where it will be 30 years later.”
Actor said about his involvement in the project.
“I swear on my life, I don’t know if I’m in it or not, but I think there is probably a decent chance since I’m one of the few people left standing from the first movie.”
