Italian postcard by Le Giornate del Cinema Muto / La Cineteca del Friule / Cinemazero. Photo: Max Linder and Vilma Banky in Der Zirkuskönig/King of the Circus (Max Linder, Édouard-Émile Violet, 1924).
Tonight, 9 October 2021, the legendary Casanova closes the 40th edition of the Pordenone Silent Film Festival. Jan and me, Bob, were there and it was a great edition. Our compliments to director Jay Weisberg, to the staff, and to all the enthusiastic volunteers! Thank you all for a wonderful festival.
If you were not there but would like a glimpse. Check out the festival website www.giornatedelcinemamuto.it (There is an English language part) or visit our blog European Film Star Postcards, filmstarpostcards.blogspot.com/. We posted daily on the festival the whole week.
