What do you like best about BigTime?

Big Time has been an incredible tool for organizing all of our business functions into one easy to use environment. The ability to customize fields is especially keen for the type of professional services our firm provides. With Big Time you can centralize and streamline your invoice processing including the ability to sync to QuickBooks. The implementation process was seamless and helped our team feel confident in maximizing the functionality of Big Time for our purposes. Even after the implementation process is complete, with the continued access to customer support you will have peace of mind knowing that any questions that pop up will be attended to. What do you dislike about BigTime?

What do you like best about BigTime?

This is a great product and fits our service-oriented time sheet needs perfectly. There is built in flexibility that allows us to do a lot of different things. We use the details for our client billings. No need for an expensive software this works well at a fraction of the cost. It's very reliable and I don't recall it ever being down when we wanted to use it. Customer support is very patient and answers all our questions. Once they understand what we are trying to accomplish they provide ideas we never thought about. I can't tell you how valuable this to us. The basics are very logical, and it is very easy to use. What do you dislike about BigTime?

There are no downsides for us in using BigTime. It's remarkable in that it works and fits perfectly for us. We got really lucky when we found BigTime! I should have bought a lottery ticket that day Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BigTime?

Of great value to me is the prominence of the audit trail in BigTime This is vital to the regulatory compliance of issues such as the determination of the when and by whom any of the project financials details were modified. The versatility to create different types of projects with their own set of custom fields and workflow is also quite a breaker with regards to our various lines of service. It is in a position to customize the system to suit whatever from a quick feasibility assessment to a multi year engineering design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BigTime?

Our multi disciplinary firm has a lot of cost centers and the initial set up was quite intensive and very hard consuming before we could go live. Powerful, though some of the advanced reporting features have a steep learning curve with some of the less technical oriented project managers. What do you like best about BigTime?

Keeping track of expenses and input in relations to invoicing. Being able to see when we are going over an original amount on a jobs original balance. We also like the tracking of what has been invoiced what can be closed out, earnings. Also being able to add to the job, not having to create multiple jobs for the same area or client. What do you dislike about BigTime?

Not being able to attach documents to the jobs created. We are currently looking at different integrations to use, that will help us in transferring over job information which will help in the error of job set up. We have documents as in proposals, drawings, purchase order receipts if those items were able to be saved under the job itself would help in errors for inputing the details of the job and purchase orders for the job itself. What do you like best about BigTime?

I like the functionality and dependability of BigTime. The site works consistently. It is easy and quick to use. What do you like best about BigTime?

Big Time has very clean UIs that make it easy to track and submit time for multiple projects. The carry over function from week to week as a starting point adds efficiencies on time entry along with an easy toggle between day and week views. The 'Add Line' and 'Delete' line functions are very straight forward along with the category drop down functions for project and role alignment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BigTime?

It would be nice if the once a description was written against a day that it would cache that entry and default to a '0' hours with a validation/error message when an invalid entry is entered into the hours field by mistake. This can happen during a 'fat finger' mistake. Currently, the js will refresh and the description field text is wiped out. This can be painful if a lot of information has been added. What do you like best about BigTime?

We find the software very intuitive to use & navigate compared to other options we tried. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BigTime?

The software is very buggy and support can be slow to address issues. Right now we have two open support tickets regarding issues that are affecting our outgoing invoices. One of them has been open for 6 months old and the other 16 months. In recent communication about the issue it became clear to us that they do not have any intentions to actually fix the issues. This is obviously frustrating because we do not like sending out invoices to our clients that have these sloppy errors prominently displayed.

2/28/25 Update: We are going through another cycle of billing and the errors in our invoices still persist. Will check in again.

4/4/25 Update: Another cycle of billing and our invoices continue going out with two different errors that have not been resolved. Will continue occasionally checking in to share our experience.

8/8/25 Update: It is been a while, but I thought the two year anniversary for one of our outstanding support tickets was a good time to check back in. We are still in the queue for attention to be paid to the aforementioned bugs in our original review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BigTime?

BigTime is easy to deploy with employees working from home, the main office and branch offices since it is web-based. Anyone with access to a web browser can record their time at their convenience and we can get that into our Quickbooks records effortlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
