What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

Blackthorn Events helped fill a gap that we had in our CRM. We had been using free sites to create and manage events but it was difficult to integrate them into Salesforce. Blackthorn Events runs perfectly on the Salesforce platform and it has streamlined our event creation, evaluation, and follow-up. I'm not sure how we worked so long without Blackthorn Events.

Also, the onboarding/implementation team, namely Jared Kirk, was phenomenal! Jared knows the product extremely well and has an enthusiasm for working with people that is rarely seen these days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

Blackthorn has so many ways to customize events, including tailoring it to your company branding and preferences. If you are willing to jump in and learn, it's very easy to learn and pick things up quickly. Additionally, Blackthorn provides excellent support and learning tools to help with the entire process. What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

The platform was extemelly easy to implement out of the box. While our Salesforce has a unique implementation that really pushed the limits of what the integration was capabale pf, the Blackthorn support team were with us every step of the way to deliver a perfect solution. What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

After our implementation, the support team were a hit and miss with answerings our support requests to a satisfactory standard. Thankfully, I am able to report that this has improved signifcantly in the last few months with a crackdown by their CEO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very Customizable Event Management Tool for Salesforce Users"
What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

Each of our events is unique in tone and format. Blackthorn Events has the capability to be crafted in different ways to suit our varying business needs. It is no small thing that our Salesforce users will be able to see the history of event attendance on their contact records! The onboarding process is thorough, their staff is ready to assist, and there is a good amount of documentation you can use for support. The email template builder is pretty robust and very easy to use. We have not yet had our first event, but I can already see that the check-in process should be smooth and simple because of how we were able to customize our emails. You can add a button in the registration confirmation email (or any email you send) that leads to the event ticket, which contains a QR code that can be scanned at the event to simplify checking in your guests. I can't wait to see how we improve our events over time, as we uncover new feature use cases and become experts at building events in Blackthorn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

As is typically true with Salesforce, there is an initial learning/building curve. In order for something to be a unique fit to your business need, you have to build it out, though there are many basic features already built in or easily designable. We are really needing a system of assigning registrants to tables and seats. Though some of the skeleton for table seating is in Blackthorn Events, it is not usable until you build the functionality yourself. We are having to use a consultant to do that piece. They do provide a survey feature, but it is pretty vanilla looking. While you can customize a lot in the survey, you cannot add any branding or style. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Blackthorn has so many incredible features to help customize, brand, and make your events feel like they are really tailored to your organization. Being able to easily report out from our Blackthorn/Affinaquest/Salesforce Integration has made it possible to use our data in a limitless number of ways, and has made both the back end planning and the front end guest experience smoother. What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

The only issue we are having right now with Blackthorn Events is that any fee charged for a registration can be percentage only, and we need to be able to set a flat fee. However, Blackthorn has added it to their development list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

The thought that has been put into the development of the platform is better than I've seen before. I have yet to encounter a single limitation in the options available to our unique use case of events that we host as a business.

The product has been easy to install, implement and integrate with our org. I was able to grant access to our in-house designer to create branded templtes for events and emails and he was able to figure things out in one day!

What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

Blackthorn makes it so easy to see which of our Salesforce contacts are participating in events, which is exactly the reason we purchased the product. As a higher education institution, we wanted to know who was attending our events and if we were retaining those participants as students. Plus being able to create, manage, and communicate the event all from one system is such a time saver! Our onboarding team was fantastic to work with and thorough in the information they covered. What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

There are a lot of related objects to learn about with this product. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just takes some time to learn about what each one holds and it's purpose is. I'm a pretty new Salesforce Admin and it took me some time to understand each object, but it's nothing practice and trouble-shooting can't handle.
