What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

The internal events calendar has come up a few times but we haven't prioritized it. Some of our customers add our event group into internal views, others have used CalendarAnything, others use list views.

It'd be a sizable build to do without a big ROI back to our customers vs other initiatives of the same effort, such as our forthcoming Virtual Events, mobile attendee app, and our new event wizard.

What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

We had an issue with our events not showing after publishing. I put in a request to support, and we had it resolved within an hour. The support person was attentive and worked with me to get the system authorized again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

There are some items that we have noticed that aren't consistent. For instance, there is a discrepancy in the date/time fields and how they display. We needed to create a custom field to get the format we needed. This was not the preferred method as most custom fields leads to more issues down the road. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

The best thing about this program is that it has an entire team to help you from start to finish. I like that the program is very user-friendly and easy to use. I also like that if you make a mistake, you don't have to panic; you can always make changes before going live with your event. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

I've been working with the Blackthorn team for several months now, and have been blown away by their level of customer support. As a solution architect for several Salesforce clients, I've worked with several vendors and integration partners. Blackthorn's onboarding team has been, by far, the easiest, friendliest, and most responsive vendor I've worked with. Whenever I have a question on feature functionality, event setup and/or creation, or anything Blackthorn, I immediately reach out to Nathan, knowing that he'll have an answer for me within minutes. And sure enough, he does! He's incredibly knowledgeable about the platform, and is happy to share that knowledge at a moment's notice. I'm currently working with a client that has been running events for years, but is new to the Blackthorn platform. Both Nathan and Ashley (Director of Customer Onboarding) have been invaluable as we transition this client to their new system. It's obvious that they are invested in our client's success and are extremely patient with us as we continue to bring more questions their way! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

Blackthorn is fully integrated into the Salesforce platform so it streamlines our workflows as an organization and provides a professional and customizable front end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

We are still very new to Blackthorn. I wish the event wizard had everything you might need to implement integrated into it. For example, if you have a discount code you need to go to the Salesforce record add in a code then make sure code eligibility is marked as optional. What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

We are new to using Blackthorn Events but it has been very user-friendly. The onboarding process with Noah has been excellent. He and his coworkers have ensured that we understand the whole process and how everything is connected. I wish all onboarding experiences were like this. I appreciate that they allow us to play around with a "test" version before going live because it makes the whole process feel less daunting and scary. What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

I liked how easy they made it for us to learn in such a short amount of time! We were given a run down of all of our sessions and they were very helpful with navigating. Blackthorn Events blends seamlessly with SF! Our internal and external users were able to just dive right in and create Events without any downtime. Our only issue was when we changed the domain name. If you change the domain name, you have to submit a support ticket to have them link it up from their end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blackthorn Events?

- It's fully integrated with Salesforce which ensures all customer data stays in one place.

- Integrated survey tool.

- The integrated email builder (although I couldn't find any response stats, though that could be my lack of Salesforce knowledge) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackthorn Events?

- You really need almost Admin level experience with Salesforce to make the most out of Blackthorn. Without it, a lot of the automation they offer isn't available.

- The provided documentation for troubleshooting was not complete enough for those without the above experience.

- The customizability does not go further than adding your own fonts, colors, and images. It would be great to have a template builder, like the included email builder, for the event page.

- Not all our attendees were able to register or fill out our surveys due to their companies blocking Salesforce/Blackthorn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks! We're releasing a new Events Wizard in January that will be the foundation for future UX improvements. Inline UI editing, conditional question stepper (in-person, virtual, hybrid), then updates on major trickier UX features (forms, data dictionary...).

Also releasing a new smart scheduler to aid with scheduling notifications by email and SMS with an easy UX.

What documentation for troubleshooting was missing? Let me know and we'll get it updated/added.

The new inline UI editor should be amazing for your feedback. I'd love to get your input on it. Email me? We can go through the current status to get your comments.

Let me know about blocking of SFDC/Blackthorn? First I'm hearing of this.
