Crowdin has a pretty easy user interface that is intuitive. The way it is structured makes it easy to translate fast and efficient. Big chunks of text in one string seem to be a bit of a problem and have hard times loading. It also depends a bit on the browser you use. Firefox seems to be more stable than Chrome for example.

It would be great if there would be the option to find untranslated text strings while they stay in their respective location in a document. You can sort by 'untranslated' but sometimes it is necessary to have the 'surrounding' strings in order to have the context. The Crowdin has been an indispensable tool for my translation and revision endeavors. It has significantly streamlined my workflow, allowing me to efficiently translate and review texts. Moreover, it has afforded me the opportunity to volunteer as a translator and reviewer for a major German Minecraft server known as GommeHD. In this role, I've been actively engaged in translating from German/English to Brazilian Portuguese. The collaborative nature of Crowdin, coupled with its intuitive interface, has made this translation journey for GommeHD exceptionally productive and rewarding. The Crowdin presents a challenge when dealing with "dead" or inactive projects. Since it's a collaborative platform, inactive projects can lose momentum and participation over time. Without ongoing engagement and activity, maintaining momentum and ensuring completion can be difficult. Communication and efforts from all contributors are crucial to keep the project alive and progressing. It's essential to establish clear guidelines and maintain team engagement to overcome this particular challenge in using Crowdin effectively for projects that might face periods of inactivity. I am used to the way it organizes and displays information, so you can have everything you need at hand at any time. You can easily show/hide panels and really eliminate distractions if you want to focus on translating/proofreading or bring up reference material for research.

I also like how they are open and available for feedback and have implemented many of the changes I've suggested over the years, which has made my work much more practical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes, changes are implemented in the web and, which can create confusion due to a lack of transparency or communication with users. A simple in-app notification would suffice to make these changes more transparent.

I'm also personally not a fan of the contextual menu (the light bulb when you double click a word in a string), but I understand there might have been pros and cons that led to this implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using Crowdin for over a year primarily for translating documents at work. The platform is incredibly intuitive, which made setting it up quite easy after going through the manuals. I appreciate how complete it is, eliminating our need to consider switching to another provider. I find Crowdin to be wonderful as it offers a suggestion tool that helps keep translated parts organized and allows for seamless collaboration. The ability to publish translations and have them reviewed for approval is awesome. Crowdin’s collaborative features are immensely beneficial, enabling everyone to see and compare what others are doing, thus enhancing teamwork and efficiency. It helps with dividing the workload effectively and ensures everyone is aligned. Additionally, the organization of documents and projects is neat and supports efficient team management. Overall, it boosts our organizational efficiency, allowing us to categorize projects and share them across the team, satisfying our workflow requirements, and is a platform I would gladly recommend to others. I wish there were more options for comparing work not only within the organization but also with work that other people have already published. This feature would allow us to see different contexts and improve our translations by learning from others who have already worked on similar projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our development team seems to like it the best. I previously used Transifex and now we are on CrowdIn. These localization platforms are a dime a dozen and it's become a commodity at this point. CrownIn has a nice interface, appears to work well for our development team, and has more capabilities than we even need. Haven't used customer support yet. The communication between multiple translators when you have several different languages going through translation is a little clunkily. Sometimes, when I want to add contact to a string, I want that context to be available for all translators. There is no way to do this from the source strings itself and has to be added as comments and it's not configurable on what translations see this context. This platform provide simple to use feature with some elements that can make your jobs run smoothly. The best feature that really in handy is TM (Translation Memory) that can save our quality and help us to keep consistence with the terms we use.
