"A Simple and Reliable Way to Keep Teams in Sync"
What do you like best about Slack?

What I like most about Slack is how effortlessly it connects everyone on the team. It’s quick to send updates, share ideas, or drop files without needing long email chains. The layout feels intuitive, and setting up channels for different projects helps us keep discussions organized. I also appreciate how well it connects with other apps we use every day, which makes collaboration feel seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

When a lot of conversations are happening at once, messages can move fast and get buried, which sometimes makes catching up a bit tricky. I’d also love to have a longer chat history available without upgrading plans. Aside from that, it’s dependable and does exactly what we need for daily communication. "Excellent for Team Collaboration, But Can Get Overwhelming with Message Overload"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack helps my team talk and work together easily. I like that we can make different channels for each project or topic. This keeps our chats clean and makes it simple to find what we need. I also use Slack’s integrations a lot. For example, it connects with Google Drive, Zoom, and Asana. This means I don’t have to switch between apps all the time. I can share files, join meetings, and manage tasks right inside Slack Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Sometimes Slack can feel too busy. When there are many channels and people sending messages, it’s easy to miss something important. The constant notifications can also be distracting. I often have to mute channels or pause notifications so I can focus on my tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best place for professional communication and daily work organization"
What do you like best about Slack?

What I like about Slack is its simple and fast interface, which doesn't require extensive training. It also offers good organization when communicating with team members in Slack, allowing you to follow all discussions without distractions. In addition, there's an advanced search feature Which makes it easy to quickly find old messages and files. The thing that helps me most about Slack is its seamless integration with tools I use daily, like Google Drive, Trello, and Zoom, in addition to the Smart alerts that keep your team up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Frankly, what I don't like about Slack is the very limited free storage space, as well as the fact that old messages are deleted after a certain number of days. This can lead to the loss of important information if you don't upgrade to the paid plan, which is relatively expensive. Although advanced features, such as a full message history and app integration, are essential, they are deleted.

Overall, I personally consider the drawbacks minor compared to the benefits, but Slack needs to improve and increase the plan limits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective communication for hybrid team, improves instant communication which work better than email"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack help to promote for an easier communication method which is effective for a hybrid team with several remote worker. Using text channel as the main communication platform to discuss on project related topic, doing stand-up meeting and integrate with Jira to manage internal ticket system. We use it almost everyday for video conference that we connect for meeting and to invite client for project discussion. All this implementation and configuration is simple and only take less than hour to setup, which most of the configuration is helped organize by customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Notification can be a pain if we are not properly organize which channel need to be muted or toned-down. Notification center will be real messy if all channel notification is left on default setting. The smart notification setting that they introduce doesn't helping too much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slack: A useful tool for software teams"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is easy to use. Open it, go to the channel, talk. Nothing complicated. Setting it up is also simple — make a channel, add the team, and start working.

I use it daily for quick talks with teammates and to see build or code updates. GitHub, Jira, all these things send updates directly there, so I don’t have to check everywhere separately. Everything comes in one place, so it saves time.

Huddles and reminders are also helpful. It keeps everyone connected and on the same page.

Simple words — Slack works well and doesn’t create extra headache. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

What I don’t like about Slack is that it becomes too noisy when the team is big. There are too many channels and notifications, and sometimes it gets hard to focus. Important messages also get lost in the middle of all the chatter.

The search is okay, but when I try to find some old message or file, it feels messy. And the desktop app uses quite a lot of RAM, so if I keep it open for a long time, the system slows down a bit.

Basically, if the team doesn’t use Slack properly, everything becomes cluttered. Slack is good, but it should have better control for reducing noise and should run lighter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Collaboration with Seamless Integrations"
What do you like best about Slack?

I appreciate Slack's ability to seamlessly make both voice and video calls while simultaneously typing messages with colleagues. The integration capabilities stand out for me; being able to integrate Google Drive and Jira is incredibly beneficial. This integration allows me to easily give permissions to documents without having to navigate to another website or tab, streamlining my workflow significantly. I also value the feature set that Slack offers, providing all necessary business-like features without subjecting me to a boring gray scheme, which makes the user experience more engaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I encountered a login glitch when initially setting up the software. Also, I wish it was possible to add multiple emojis at once, which currently isn't feasible. Moreover, accidentally pressing enter often causes messages to send prematurely. A slight delay before sending after hitting enter would improve the user experience.
