His best friend was Stargate: Kommando SG-1 (1997) co-star Michael Shanks, and they had planned a production company together. However, they reputedly fell out over a new script. Some of those involved decided that they didn't want it to seem like a Stargate reunion and Judge was the one who had to tell Shanks that he wouldn't be in it.
