When portraying Satan in Die Bibel (2013), he (when in makeup) bore a very strong resemblance to then-current U.S. President Barack Obama. It caused a controversy, but the show's executive producer Mark Burnett explained that the resemblance was not their intention. His scenes were cut when being edited-down into the film Son of God (2014).
