Having appeared with
June Allyson in the short feature
The Knight Is Young (1938), the two would go on to appear together once again in the 1941-42 Broadway production of the musical "Best Foot Forward." Ms. Schools, who by then had taken on the stage name of Victoria Schools, played Ethel; Ms. Allyson played Minerva. When the movie
Best Foot Forward (1943) was made, Ms. Allyson took over the role of Ethel;
Gloria DeHaven became Minerva.
Nancy Walker played the blind date both on stage and in the movie. Ms. Schools was not included in the movie cast.
