David North-Martino
David North-Martino is an author, radio & podcast host, YouTuber, martial arts instructor, and actor.
David North-Martino is the author of "Wolves of Vengeance" and the forthcoming "Year of the Demon" (TBA). His short fiction has appeared in numerous fiction venues including Epitaphs: The Journal of the New England Horror Writers (Shroud Publishing), Daughters of Icarus: New Feminist Science Fiction and Fantasy (Pink Narcissus Press), and The Horror Zine's Book of Werewolf Stories (Hellhound Books Publishing). His story, "Despair," won the 2nd annual horror contest at Dark Recesses Press and appeared in their 4th issue. He has been awarded six honorable mentions and has been a semi-finalist in the prestigious Writers of the Future contest.
His broadcasting experience includes co-hosting and guest hosting The House of Mystery Radio Show (a number 3 show in LA) on NBC News Radio KCAA 106.5 FM Los Angeles, and podcast, interviewing notable authors such as James Patterson, Dean Koontz, Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, Alma Ketsu, and Tosca Lee.
David holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with concentrations in English and psychology from the University of Massachusetts, graduating magna cum laude, and was inducted into the Delta Gamma Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society.
He spent a decade working in private security management, investigations, and human resources. Other jobs include working at a newspaper, in social services, and playing drums in a band.
David has also played Professor Van Helsing on the Fun Classic Reads Podcast.
When he's not writing, David enjoys studying and teaching martial arts. He is an internationally recognized and certified martial arts instructor, a member of the World Moo Duk Kwan Heritage Program, and holds a 3rd-degree black belt from The Korea Tae Kwon Do Moo Duk Kwan Association. He also holds black belt rankings in Japanese Jujutsu. David is an Essential Filipino Martial Arts FMA-PAC Instructor under Guro Hock Hochheim. He's also a dedicated student of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do Gung Fu in the Sifu/Guro Inosanto lineage.
He lives with his supportive wife and a needy tuxedo cat in a small town in Massachusetts.
