Claudio is also a professional airplane pilot. In 2000 he attended the Catania Aeroclub, graduating as a Commercial Pilot (CPL) in 2003. He attended the Alitalia Flight Training Centre in 2003, earning the Airline Pilot License (ATPL) and the Multiple Crew License (MCC). In 2004, he moved to the USA, in Arlington, Texas, flying mainly in the Southern States. In 2005, he moved to Stockholm, Sweden, to the Sas Scandinavian Flight Academy, to attend the flight course on the Airbus 320 flight simulator. Although flying has never become his job, Claudio still flies for passion and fun and he has thousand of flight hours on his credit, mainly on General Aviation category aircraft, but occasionally, he has also flown jet aircraft, L-39 Albatros ZA, in Dallas, Texas.
