Linda Arroz is a storyteller, producer, and author. A co-founder of Makeover Media, a boutique consulting firm, she guides filmmakers and authors on strategy and public relations - work that naturally evolved into producing films herself.
A former magazine editor, TV personality and Hollywood Stylist, she produced and appeared on hundreds of network television programs including Good Morning American and Entertainment Tonight, and CNN. She was a regular on QVC, screenwriters have written parts for her, and she once played herself in a cameo on The Bold and The Beautiful soap opera.
Arroz was a stylist for over 150 commercials, using costume for character development, an extension of her fashion philosophy: If You Can Wear That, You Can Be That.
Discovered by the Spiegel catalog in the late 1980s, she made history as the first plus-size spokes-model to land a contract with a major brand. That opportunity introduced her to the media, launched her into public speaking, and public relations, a hands on experience learning the power of stories through style and substance.
Ahead of the curve, Arroz was editor in chief of RealSize dot com, one of the earliest women's lifestyle portals, for which she won awards. During COVID, she enrolled at MIT and was recently selected by Tulsa Remote to participate in their tech and innovation hub, bringing her career full circle from early clients: luxury lifestyle start-ups out of Silicon Valley.
She is the co-author of Affordable Couture, a savvy shopper's guide to vintage. Originally from Flint, Michigan, Arroz started out on the assembly line of General Motors, climbed the corporate ladder when they sent her to business school. Eventually she demoted herself back to the factory floor to pursue her dreams, transforming herself from spot welder to spokes-model.
After 40 years in Los Angeles, Arroz has relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she is active in the burgeoning film community.
