Rob's Great Great Grandfather, James Rutledge, helped found New Salem, Illinois, and rented a room to Abraham Lincoln above his tavern while he was in Law School. During that time he fell in love with Rob's Great Great Aunt, Ann Rutledge, until the day she died of typhoid in 1835. Many films have been made about Ann Rutledge's & Abraham Lincoln's relationship.
