O Caseiro

This movie was absolutely weird I don't understand the language I just put it in English I'm expecting it was maybe German or Yiddish it sounded like Yiddish I don't know it was super slow not really good actors and actresses I feel bad for them because I know that's their livelihood I don't want to spoil anything in case somebody actually would like this movie and I understand the rating it should have got a lower score I gave it a three-star because at least the writers put effort into trying to make it scary maybe at that time with a paranormal world it would be scary when it was made so I have to look at that and kind of you know put in perspective that it wasn't made up-to-date scale and I watched it all the way through I had to stop it in the middle more than once because literally I was tired of watching it.

Good Lord Portuguese is weird. It messes with my mind because it shares words with Spanish but otherwise sounds entirely different from any other Romance language. There's French - which is very unique, but has Latin roots, then Italian and Spanish have more similarities. The problem is that I know too much Italian, that I am used to hearing Spanish, and I am even familiar with French - but Portuguese completely messed with my mind. It is less freaky for me to listen to Chinese or Korean, because the problem is the similarities rather than the differences.

In fact, its probably the only reason I watched the entire film, and I did like the atmosphere. But the movie itself is rather dull and conventional, I didn't find the story intriguing at all.

O Caseiro proves that the genre horror has never been the strong Brazilian cinema, O Caseiro one of the worst weaker horror movies I've ever watched, the cast this terrible , the actors are very inexpressive, the dialogues are weak and without quality, the direction is very bad, the movie does not scare the picture is good, the costumes is OK, the soundtrack is bad, the script is bad too, I had more hope for this film, the more I too disappointed, Brazilian cinema always made good films, some classic as the great City of God, there is a film like O Caseiro, the problem of Brazilian films today is that the maximum of good movies is 2, not just that, every 20 films released today Brazilian 2 are good, I hope to improve, O Caseiro is a terror that I do not recommend. I love horror movies, first of all. I'm very careful with the details. I think that Brazilian horror moves were never good, so i didn't expect nothing spectacular from this one, but i had a surprise. The story is pretty good, i think that the final is very good, very intelligent, but not very original. The movie doesn't have anything scary as i expected, there are no effects or any makeup, there are no scary ghost or scene that you feel scary at all. The movie is all about suspense, the things start to happen but you see nothing, you keep guessing all the time if there is a ghost there or what. The acting is just OK, the only good actors are Bruno Garcia and Leopoldo Pacheco. The movie is not scary, but the story is solid, and the final is surprising, you don't expect it at all. A OK Suspense.
