Shown on Arnistice Day Nov 11 1960 on French TV, this is a documentary style report on the 1914 Battle of the Marne. It contains archive films from 1914 and recreations of events before and during the battle. All the male actors are members of the French Veteran Actors Association (l'Association des Comédiens Anciens Combattants) whose president was Maurice Escande who is the narrator of the film shot partly on live TV.
