Liberty's Secret

I clicked on this movie as I was getting tired of browsing and I am glad that I did. It is a very lighthearted (as most musicals are) look at politics, the news media and the religious right. The lesbian relationship between the two main characters is a sub-plot in my opinion. Jaclene Wilk was absolutely delightful as Liberty. I hope this isn't a one-off for her. I also liked the portrayal of Kenny Weston and Dick Dinkler. I was raised a Roman Catholic and I found the church scenes comical.

A (dare I say it?) wonderful charming film. Very reminiscent of the so-called Golden Age of Hollywood musicals. What I found especially "charming" was that its potentially controversial subject matter was treated in a very matter-of-fact, no big deal way.

The director Andy Kirshner well handled the movie with what he portrayed to audience is pristine and highly appreciable one. I was really enjoying each and every scene , characters and notable soulful rendered songs and music. This movie has Senator Political campaign, Countryside church , More musically , decent love story with more lively characters from Cara AnnMarie & Jaclene wilk ( two beautiful artists).

I watched the movie on Amazon Prime and worth it.

Very clever, lots-of-fun musical that supports same-sex marriage at the same time that it spoofs US politics and those who wrap themselves in the flag of "family values." The film has much humor, and the music and lyrics are wonderful!

This is not a polished movie, but a low-budget independently produced film. It's a little uneven, but over all it's worth the watching - light, funny, clever, and topical. It's a good film to show your Aunt Mary who needs to be educated about "gay marriage" while enjoying a show.

This is a feel good movie that is perfectly campy, cheesy, romantic, and impactful. The music good, the lyrics are mostly heartfelt, the characters are likable, and the lampooning of right wing fundies without being mean is awesome. Despite it's obvious technical flaws and low budget style, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. There are two things keeping me from giving it 10 stars. First is the lack of chemistry between the two leads. I just don't feel the romantic spark between them. The second might have helped the first if done properly, and that is that we don't really see the development of a relationship. There's a montage, but the meat of the building of the romantic relationship just wasn't there.

Still, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
