A faith based film loosely tied to the Old Testament story of Ruth and Naomi, but without overwhelming the viewer with the proselytizing dialogue that promotes an agenda for members of the choir, rather than a diverse audience. The acting and the characterizations are excellent. You have your good people striving to overcome what life throws at them, who persist to do what's right in the face of mounting obstacles. And then you have the villains who bear all the typical human traits of avarice, greed and power who stand to profit from eliminating those that stand in their way. You cheer on the sidelines for the decent people to win out and hope that the selfish ones get their comeuppance--its that good. Its a hopeful and eventually a joyful movie could possibly affect even the most cynical viewer. Give it a look.

Inspired to me to see the paths we choose vs God's timing.

Goodness wins, although it also plays on a very different field than hate or anger.

Again, worth the tissues.

Wish it was on dvd or stream capable outside of xfinity.... I love a movie that shows good people working hard and the battle between losing yourself to money hungry behavior or being decent to others.

For the Love of Ruth is one of my favorite movies! I've seen it 10 times. It is such a beautiful love story; more importantly, it shows that no matter what your circumstances are God is big enough to answer prayers. Naomi paid a pivotal role in Ruth's life; she exemplified the importance of faith. Thus, Ruth never wavered in her faith despite her circumstances. God's love exudes in this movie. I would love to see a sequel.

This is such a great movie! A beautiful adaptation of the story of Naomi and Ruth! The actors are all very talented. I can watch this movie and over again. The book of Ruth is one of my favorites books of the Bible! I have watched several movies based on Biblical characters. This is one of the best I have watched. The writing and casting are amazing! Some of the movies I have watched don't come close to being as good as this one! The actors playing Naomi and Ruth were well chosen. I have met and encountered many women who are very similar to Naomi and Ruth. Thanks to the writer and actors! Well done!

I enjoyed this movie because of the realism that enhanced the true meaning of pain, indifferences and prejudices.

Finally a faith-based movie with a lot of twists. I was very pleased. It showcased great acting and real problems without people of color complaining.

Please add this movie or make it available. I would like to watch it.

This was a great romantic movie. The story line was similar to the Bible. I was that the good name would have been Boaz. OMG, I really would have screamed. Lol! Great that there was an additional story along with the main story. I did not realize it at first so the twists was not expected. I thought it would be predictable but it was not. Enjoyed it with my family. I would watch again. This was great for a movie night and relaxing. This is a movie that I will continue to keep on my watch list to go back and see any thing that I may have missed. I will share this with my friends and family for sure.

I'm a little - lot late in watching this movie for no other reason than time. It was on my watch list but perhaps I missed the viewing.

I wasn't sure about it when it started but I was pulled in quick. I loved the story line and each lesson I picked up on.

The cast was superb and the acting was top notch by everyone.

I laughed. I cried. I got angry. I was torn. I deliberated.... and I even judged a little.

The movie was very realistic and captured some Ups and Downs of today's world and living. I especially loved the solutions and repeated ways of how to survive and overcome life and setbacks.
