Tödlicher Handel

Don't waste your time with this one. You've seen it before. Maybe not this one, but other ones that follow the same basic plot line: girl goes missing (why is it always the girl, never the boy?) during a solo trip to some foreign country, police don't believe the single parent. Parent goes hunting for girl. Fighting. Gun play. Girl rescued. The only real difference in this one is the acting. Acting that fails to impress anyone. And a final summary of why the events of the movie happened is more confusing than it needs be. The film makers probably wanted it to differ from other similar themed movies by including a ....Well, I wouldn't want to spoil it for you. The movie itself will do it for you. The Knightwolf recommends skipping this one.

This has nothing to do with the movies Taken. My advise is skip this movie.

I am amazed at this crappie film and its writers. This is what I call the height of lazyness! They have a very good idea and cheap ass writing and production. All the situations could've been done way better. Enstead it looks like a bunch little kids made this film. The producers, Director and writers should be ashamed of themselves!

Do not waste any time on this movie. Probably the WORST movie I have ever watched. Terrible script, awful score and execrable acting. Definitely one to avoid.

Canadian actress Gina Holden is both gorgeous and game, but neither quality will suffice to save this sodden, dull, misfit of a film.

From a production company that almost single-handedly manages to commoditize B-movies as if they came off a conveyor belt (Jeepers Creepers 3, Nightmare Nurse) we have something which, once upon a time, scrawled on a napkin in the back of a bar, must have seemed really clever.

"Let's do a version of Taken with a female lead!" someone said, then someone else agreed, then a third person raised the cash ... and here we are.

The best sequence is the first 4 minutes, which does a pretty good job of establishing Holden's character as a tough female cop who is not afraid of violence.

Would that we could say the same about the screenwriters, because, after that solid opening, the film chugs along for almost a full hour before we see even a hint of action; and when we finally do, it is too little, too late.
