BoBoiBoy: The Movie

This movie is not just about Action, Comedy or Science Fiction. In fact Animation shows that we can actually live in one country with multiple races and religions. No racist, racist terms, and so on. Film is one great example of opening the eyes of the inhabitants of the earth.

I'd say this is a really good step in Malaysian animation industry. To watch and enjoy this movie you must have some Malaysian context or understand some of Malaysian culture and the familiarity of the common tongue else it's not for you. Those who had gave negative reviews were probably the ones who don't understand or have a clue about Malaysian culture or maybe expected too much. The dialogues are made funny and simple for kids to understand. A straight forward story line but with cool music scores. Heavy anime influence and nice action scenes. Smooth animation although more detail could be added in. A Full HD and extended version should be released some day I hope and wouldn't mind buying it. Overall it's an enjoyable movie to watch with the whole family.

I just watched Boboiboy The Movie this morning. Worth the money. Malaysian animation industry has improves a lot. Kudos to the team who made this film a reality. The final battle scene is so darn epic I felt like clapping but I would embarrassed myself if I were to do that as an adult inside a hall packed with children LOL. The scores & music matched well with the storyboard. Watching this film is like seeing Naruto, Dragon Ball, Power Rangers, Transformer and Iron Man combined. Bravo Animonsta!

On another note, I wished I didn't watched the sneak peek of this film on the TV. I would have made the whole experience much more original/raw.

Boboiboy the movie is a based on a kids animated series. About a young boy and his friends having super powers saving the world from aliens. For once the aliens did not land in USA (like all normal aliens seem to do) but in Malaysia.

I went in the movie thinking it was a kid movie or at most a family movie, came out pleasantly surprised. What many reviewers do not mention is that this movie is also entertaining for for anime fans and gamers. As some of the style, action sequence and super powers are heavily influence by the aforementioned (in 3D). Clearly a work of love by fans :)

Love it. Great for family time watchalong. Plot was okay, animation is okay but not sure of the voice casts especially an indian character gopal cast by a non- indian person, culturally inappropriate. Still recommended.
