I had an opportunity to watch this movie this weekend. It was excellent. I have worked in hospice for 12yrs, this movie accurately portrayed the journey of a patient...........and a friend when they have to face a tragic disease together. It also accurately documents the struggle of an individual having to chose between her faith and her job. I was very inspired by the compassion and the character of this movie!
It is worth watching. Jenny has not forgotten her childhood friend and did what best she can help. It is not offensive in any manner and its a story of two friends one facing life-taking sickness and the other going beyond her comfort zone to offer love and support.
I can't understand the title justifies the story but I feel it does the description beneath: Jenny is a committed Christian who lovingly serves patients as a hospice nurse. But when her unbelieving friend Autumn goes on hospice care Jenny is confronted with the weakness of her own faith. Now she must learn what it will take to love her friend as Christ would.

The question I'm dying to ask the People involved in this movie is, "would you think this movie was cool if it was a muslim person using their job to try and manipulate a dying person into also becoming a muslim? How about a jewish person? What about a scientologist or a theosophist? My guess is that I couldn't go anywhere online without seeing a million posts from crazy zealots losing their mind over it and, yet, they produced this abomination. Wake up and realize that imposing your imaginary friend and its bronze-age ideals on everybody you meet is not only a lost cause, it's an immoral one. People like those associated with this abhorrent film are one of the few reasons non-christians think it might be nice for a fiery afterlife of eternal punishment and suffering to exist after all.
Why do bad things happen to good people? And, how can we be at peace about our loved ones and their eternity? These are just two of the questions raised by "Redemption Way", a 2017 release by Co-Directors Dan Gremley and Brad Podowski, from an original screenplay by Podowski. The film centers around Jenny Payne, a nurse whose life is turned upside down by the loss of loved ones, unresolved issues in her marriage and a major dilemma when her career comes into conflict with her devotion to her God.
Jenny is beautifully played by Kaitlyn Griggs, and the pacing and the interplay of the films core characters is just right. I watched this film with my family and we were all very moved by the tenderness of the story and its message of trust in Jesus--even when it's hard and may not make sense to the world around us. What we learn from "Redemption Way" is that God is greater than our fears, our losses and the unanswered questions we all face in life.

If you are looking for a tremendous Christian movie this is definitely my 1st choice. It was nothing less than amazing! Extremely heart warming and full of emotion. A wonderful movie that shows you can get through any of lifes challenges through prayer!
