It's a movie with a story that goes in directions you won't expect. That's appropriate, being about a brainy student of astrophysics who is trying to figure out how the world works, while have to juggle ticking clocks and pressures that life throws at him from all sides.
The movie has moments of thrills, scenes of honest heart-to-hearts, and sequences of frustration and relief.
I recommend this movie to those who like seeing what life is like for people coming from all kinds of backgrounds or life situations. If it looks like just a low-key independent film, viewers may be surprised how a little bit of honest storytelling can pack a real emotional punch.

I really enjoyed this quiet little movie. It is an intelligently written and directed love story about two imperfect opposites who find one another. The lead actor, Owen Beckman, is going to be a huge star. He conveys sincerity and warmth throughout, and reminded me at times of a young Billy Crudup. His counterpart is the equally talented Gretchen Lodge. It's so refreshing to see a movie like this. Writer-Director Aimee Graham understands the nuances of human relationships. There are 1-2 continuity issues in the first 5 minutes but let it go and enjoy what this movie offers. Kudos to the cinematographer and composer as well. And David Koechner and Justine Bateman round out the cast! It's well worth the watch.
Them main peeps? They're mysterious but hella gripping - this flick's a wild mix. , if you're into flicks that keep you on your toes, leaving you pleasantly confused with some quirky characters and a storyline that's all over the place, then this joint's your vibe. Can't put it in a box, just like those indie gems that keep you hooked 'cause they ain't following no rules. The ending? Pure magic, man. It hits that sweet note that keeps the story buzzin' long after it's done. This ain't your run-of-the-mill flick, nah-it's a ride that stays kickin' in your mind. I leave it two thumbs up! Check it out.
If you like being kept off balance and in a pleasant state of confusion with offbeat characters and unpredictable, almost attention-deficit-disorder story development, this is the movie for you. It has a David O Russell quality. The two leads are enigmatic but compelling. You may not like them at first, but they grow on you as they grow on each other. Populated with strong character actors like James Russo, David Koechner, Sylvia Kelegian (who almost steals the movie as a gambling addict mom) and Tom Lister Jr (whose character I didn't fully understand) this is a movie that defies easy categorization as indie films often do - which makes the best of them so refreshing. It ends on a beautiful grace note that allows it to continue on in the imagination.
Yo, peep this: The Allnighter ain't your regular flick-it's indie gold blending comedy and drama, serving up real characters hustling through that adulting game. Terence, played by Owen Beckman, and Belle, played by Gretchen Lodge, bring that realness, flaws and all, but they still shine bright and likable, you feel me?
And check this lineup: this indie joint pulls in big names! Justine Bateman, David Koechner, Tom Lister Jr, James Russo, Naomi Grossman-mad surprises! It's a whole squad of talent, for real.
I'm throwing my cosign on this one-The Allnighter's a gem! I had a blast and two thumbs way up, yo. Aimee Graham's got my attention now-can't wait to see what she's dropping next!
