A great collection of short film stories, that touch upon some big questions. I feel that this movie could easily offend some people, so I wouldn't be too surprised for negative reviews. The stories mock some pretty common patterns in society and they are all well executed and creative. I didn't feel like the scenes were drawn out. This is a highly political work. I think my favorite parts were the first and the last story. The first one is the funnier one and admittedly is what got me to watch the rest of it.
I feel like at points there could be more nuance, in the cases of the shorts on labor and on progress, but overall I found this to be a pleasant and thought-provoking watch.

Saw this at the Brussel International Fantastic Film Festival 2019 (BIFFF for intimates). 7 Hilarious stories, some 10 minutes each, told one after another. In other words, we see 7 shorts assembled into one feature length movie. Writers, directors and actors are more or less common to the 7 stories, and the whole footage is shot in a handful of weeks, at a moment when all involved actors were available full time. (info from the Q&A after the screening).
Each of the stories gives us something to ponder about, either by turning things around in an unusual but interesting way, or to include some social commentary in an unexpected way. Lots of good ideas are included. I am not sure there is a morale, or one or more packaged messages as takeaways. I saw no final wrapup to tie all story lines together, so I stay with my statement about 7 shorts shown after another.

This film contains seven stories which the director tries to tie up at the end but the result is just ridiculous and nonsensical.
Also, speaking of the stories, the first and the last ones are an interesting and fresh take on sociopaths, however the other five in the middle are an incoherent supernatural and dubious mess which touches on some social issues in a way you're just left shaking your head in disbelief and confusion.
Overall I'd consider this experiment of a movie to be a failure but probably art house aficionados will like it.

Great cast, amazing festivals (SXSW, San Sebastián, Karlovy Vary, Raindance...), 80% at Rotten Tomatoes... And I love it. Scary and funny at the same time. This guys should work for the MCU right now! ;)
