Bare

Kayden Kross states some big intentions in the notes for her new all-girl show "Bare", but fails to live up to expectations. It emerges as a melancholy (overall) series of Sapphic vignettes reminiscent of her first feature "Girl Squared".

With the exception of ever-young industry veteran Shyla Jennings, the casting emphasizes fresh faces. The four scenes vary in tone, but are generally bittersweet.

Shyla's is well-acted by her and lover Sadie Blake, as Jennings takes a shower and recalls in flashback their near-breakup. I found this to be the most moving vignette of the lot.

Jail-bait reigns supreme in an opening gambit of schoolgirls Alyce Anderson and Chloe Cherry finding lesbian sex is a lot more fun than studying.

The beauteous Jenna Sativa (like Shyla, also a seasoned vet) has her pantomime way with Alina Lopez, her maid. This scene is staged in a mansion, and auteur Kayden has a cameo as a dresser for fashion model Sativa, with the class system being the unspoken thematic.

Finale is routine by comparison as popular Elena Koshka gets it one with promising newcomer Ivy Wolfe.
