This isn't a B-Movie, it's probably C grade, but this film knows its not a good film, and doesn't take itself too seriously. Which I really like, and if you know in knowing its going to be terrible. There's things to enjoy about it.
I mean a teddy bear murdering people, it's gloriously terrible. Like with a better budget they could have done a lot more with the concept. But it's still fun.

Bearry is an outrageous slasher/comedy that kept me wondering what was the true source of the mystery till the very end. There isn't much here to take seriously with a dash of rom/com and a splash of supernatural horror. And once you put Felissa Rose in the story, anything is possible as to what motivates the villain. Pure silliness and fun.
I have no idea why anyone would approach a movie about a large killer teddy bear as a serious horror film, when it's obvious the makers of Bearry approached this with a sense of humor.
There isn't much here to take seriously. The actors were certainly giving it their all, the movie is competently shot and well recorded, the suspense and gore are minimal. What shines here is the script. This movie is genuinely funny. I think the Sharknado films started this whole new wave of ridiculous plots and The Asylum films have certainly capitalized on this, but Bearry is a smaller production but every bit as entertaining.
Entertainment should be what a film is all about. While Bearry does have it's lulls, overall I enjoyed it, and laughed from beginning to end. The Teddy Bear itself is a hoot. It's worth watching once if you like silly LOL films and I'd even watch a sequel. It was the trailer that made me watch this and if you get a chuckle out of the trailer, you will enjoy this film.

OMG! This is one of those horror movies, that like "Plan 9 From Outer Space", embraces its C-movie heritage to great effect. I laughed throughout, and while I'm not sure if it was intentionally funny, it IS very funny. When "Arsenic and Old Lace" was made into a movie, it was supposed to a legit suspense film, but then when audiences saw it, they howled with laughter, surprising the film makers. But the makers of that film embraced it as pure camp, and I get the same vibe from "Bearry". The plot, the dialogue, the acting, the EFX, and the way the film was shot all point toward the old cheapie horror films we loved as kids. At less than an hour and a half, the film moves along and is a lot of fun!
Right, well with a movie such as the 2021 horror movie "Bearry", then I guess it is either make or break. I don't think there is any middle way for a movie with such a concept as what writers Kathleen W. Hwang and Anthony Werley churned out for "Bearry".
And I have to say that the movie didn't really make it. Sure, it had an interesting enough concept, but the movie was simply too poorly executed and brought to the screen. And the subpar acting and horrible special effects didn't really help to sell the movie much.
The acting performances in "Bearry" were dubious at best. I wasn't particularly thrilled by what I saw on the screen, and the only familiar face on the cast list was Vernon Wells, and let's just be honest here, he isn't exactly top of the acting cake.
The special effects in the movie are just toe-curling bad to look at. I wonder who greenlighted this poor CGI effects and went 'yup, it looks good, the audience will buy into that'. But hey, at least the special effects were so bad that they managed to get me to laugh.
"Bearry" is a movie that came and went without leaving a lasting mark on the horror genre. And I doubt that I will ever return to watch it for a second time. Nor is this a movie that I would recommend fans of the horror genre to waste their time on.
My rating of director Alexander T. Hwang's 2021 horror movie "Bearry" lands on a very generous three out of ten stars.
