Urge to Kill

A young girl is brutally killed, circumstantial evidence and prejudice lead the community to suspect Hughie, a young man with special needs, who lives with his auntie, and her paying guests. A second murder sends the community into a frenzy.

It's an intriguing, gritty first episode, there's a fair bit of mystery early on, but it soon becomes very clear who the killer is, you'll be made to feel very uncomfortable as small mindedness and fear turns the mob angry against Hughie.

A definite indication of the mysteries that would follow over the next few series. It's a good storyline, it's intriguing, nicely shot and well acted.

Terence Knapp does a really grand job as Hughie, you have to take the time that it was made into consideration, be doesn't overdo it, he's very good.

Patrick Barr is very good as The Investigating Detective, he's open minded, observant and very smart, he's not one to take things at face value.

Always good to see Wilfrid Brambell, it's funny, looks no different here to the later role that he'd be famous for.
