Was dimly lit but acting was good. I enjoyed the historical context.

It was dimly lit which was a shame, but acting was fine.

I don't think I've ever seen anything as bad as this before. The whole film is set in dimly lit stage sets,the acting is atrocious and isn't even up to village hall amateur production standards. Don't waste your time.

This film is indie film making at its very best.

I highly recommend this film to anybody that enjoys westerns, or has as an interest in the American civil war era. Its filled with charming characters.

The Judge of Harbor County is a peculiar no-budget western with some really interesting ideas and sound execution. Marshall James Jennings is the mysterious gatekeeper to....hell. Obviously, this is never mentioned but there's style at play every step of the way here. Look up the history and you'll find the backstory and particular situations it references (e.g.Civil War/Helena, Texas) are pretty accurate. Overall it's got some weird moments but there's soul in this piece and it clearly has the potential for so much more. Watch it with a critical eye, not the snorts of keyboard warriors or trolls and you might just be surprised.
