Christmas at Graceland

Don't understand the negative reviews. Did not expect an award winner but surely enjoyed the Christmas movie. Cute and fun!

The movie is wretched.

The only conflict is the purchase of a small bank by a large bank. Yawn.

Everyone (but the big bank boss) is sickly sweet. If the writers had been barred from using "amazing", "thank you", and "absolutely", I honestly don't believe they could have finished the script. It's that bad.

Worst of all, I know Pickler has been a successful recording artist for years, and I'm even a country music fan, but her singing in the movie was like nails on a chalkboard to me. It literally made me cringe. Horrible.

Okay, I understand Kellie Pickler is not everyone's cup of tea. Her acting is not great, but it is not that bad. Watch an early John Wayne movie. Acting is a craft that must be honed by practice. Criticizing her singing is just mean. And as for her accent, she is a native of North Carolina. Her accent is genuine. I certainly hope it is not required to have a mid-west accent to get ahead in Chicago, as one person suggested. I suspect there is some regional prejudice in several of these critiques. If you like feel-good Hallmark movies, this one is typical and is certainly worth watching. I agree that Wes Brown is the best part of the movie.

I would not have normally watched this movie with Kellie Pickler in it. I was drawn in on the Graceland part. Clay was wonderful, I did not enjoy Kellie, either acting, nor singing. It will not be one I repeat watching

Kellie's accent was the only real one in the movie. She may not become a great actress, but she is fearless and looks great.

The story is weak and it follows the standard Hallmark formula.

Hallmark's laughing all the way to the bank on this one. This was Hallmark's highest rated movie of 2018.
