Fuller in the frame.

With his jolly oval face and gargantuan backside, Leslie Fuller seems like a cartoon caricature come to life. This plays like George Formby without the songs with our dog-loving hero being swindled and then framed for theft by the dastardly villain who gets his deserved comeuppance in the last reel. Fast moving with some amusing one-liners and a large cast for a low-budget film.

Gone to the dogs

I was hoping that this would be better than some of his other films.It starts off promisingly with him and Hal Gordon in a show but then goes downhill rapidly.The film is centred around greyhound racing and was partly shot at Wembley Stadium.The acting is indifferent,the script unfunny and there is far too much of Leslie Fuller.He keeps on saying "watch it" which I assume was a stage catchphrase.If I were you,don't watch it.
