Zbrodniarz, który ukradl zbrodnie

I liked "Zbrodniarz ktory ukradl zbrodnie" (The criminal who stole the crime) a lot. The film tells the story of a retired policeman (Zygmunt Hubner) who conducts a private investigation into a robbery. The novel, on which the film was based, was based on a true crime story, but the writer partially changed the action. The film is styled as a documentary-the main character relates the case to a reporter (Ryszard Filipski). The plot is not fast, and some viewers may find it plodding, but this is compensated by extensive psychological background of the characters and realism in showing the Polish reality of the late 1960s. "The criminal who stole the crime" was at the time of its creation considered to be the best Polish crime film. This was because, among other things, of the very strong and outstanding performance of Zygmunt Hubner, but the performances of other actors were also good. So I think that this film is interesting and worth seeing even today.
