For folks who like their sex films sloppy, I recommend LADY ZAZU'S DAUGHTER, a semi-improvised XXX comedy that works. Filmmaker Eduardo Cemano is so proud of his work that he includes out-takes and commentary at the end, nearly 30 years before the advent of DVDs made such self-aggrandizement standard procedure.
The original title is more appropriate, MILLIE'S HOMECOMING, as Arlana Blue's return (as Millie) causes an incestuous coupling with daddy Lord Zazu, hammily played by future journeyman porn director Fred J. Lincoln. It is interesting that incest is treated so lightly here, as it is usually a cause for melodrama in either porn or mainstream projects.
The show is stolen, however, by Dolly Sharp as Lady Zazu, often quite funny in her antics that artfully mix explicit sex with yocks. Fan fave Tina Russell delivers the goods as the sexy maid.
With a real script and more effort this could have been a quality, "real", film, but apparently there was no incentive to overachieve. Analogous to a burlesque show, give the fans some sex and cheap laughs and that's enough is the reigning philosophy.
Distributor Terry Levene, who acquired a following later on with his action films, released this theatrically under his Aquarius banner, and it has been reissued by several video companies.
