Started out good, but lost itself somewhere along the way.
I remember watching this when it first aired and for quite a few years afterwards. It was the only show that covered entertainment news in depth with interviews with actors, and on set and behind the scenes footage.
Then there was this stretch where it had Marie Osmond on. All. The. Time. When there was no news about her. She was just kind of there because. That's it! Because. I'm like, why aren't they showing some news on other actors, shows, movies, even soap actors. But no, they had her on all the time for no reason. I think this may be when I stopped watching. I can't quite remember. But I got tired of this.
The other thing was that they covered Anna Nicole Smith before and after death way too much. It was actually kind of exploitive. I felt like someone there had a "thing" for her or something, and kept covering because of that. I mean, not to speak ill of the dead, but the woman didn't do very many film or tv projects. Why exactly all this coverage? I think this coverage probably was very unhealthy in her situation.
Different hosts seem more into shmoozing with the stars than actually asking good questions. Many times the questions are silly. It is a fluff show. They only seem to cover so-called flavor-of-the-day stars/shows/movies. Whereas I was interested in seeing other stars and shows being covered as well.
Thank gawd, for the internet and all the different choices for online entertainment magazines with interviews and in-depth coverage of shows and movies. And, they do cover the stars and shows I'm interested in. It's great because I can just pick and choose what I am interested in.
We don't need this show anymore. Started out good, but lost itself somewhere along the way. 3/10.

Nichelle ruins this show.
Nichelle is phony and ruins the quality of this show. She laughs or pretends to be on the verge of laughing for no reason. You must get a genuine cohost
for Kevin who does a stellar job.
cringeworthy
Incredibly superficial, out of touch, foolish, self-absorbed hollywood. This show makes my skin crawl. I guess it is still on tv because it is cheap to produce and fulfills alot of hollywood egos.
I have watched this show for the last time....
Entertainment Tonight has been going down hill for the last few years, but as of last night (Aug 17th 2006) they reached a new low.
In an effort to try to hype up their broadcast, they decided to post actual photos of JonBenet Ramsey's body in their teasers last night ...saying "Pictures from the case you have never seen before". The two photos were graphic and very disturbing. One was of the side of her face and head/neck and you could clearly see the cord that was used to strangle her around her neck, and bruising on her face. This was so hideously awful, I could not believe it. How has this got to do with ANYTHING remotely related to Hollywood Entertainment?? Nothing!! They have dropped their level of dignity and values to a new low....and it shows. This used to be THE premiere show to watch...and it's just garbage now.
I will watch Access Hollywood from now on.

The reason why other country don't like the US
This show is unbelievable in that . . . what it represents and what it focuses on and . . . words cannot describe how insane ET is. They will report anything. If a celebrity is even remotely indirectly connected to the story ET will report on it. If a dog poop in the Tom Cruise's yard they will report on it. If a celebrity dies . . . they will talk about it for weeks on end to the point where the public envy that celebrity. If a celebrity is on trial . . . ET will report it for MONTHS on end. There is no end to what this show will reports and no time frame that dictates how long they will focus on a story. Is it even considered legitimates reporting? The reports are so dang annoying too, with harsh rambling voices and end with an unnecessary pause to convey a sense of important. I cannot watch this show without questioning humanity's existence. ET is one big reason I avoid pre-evening shows in general. I regret that IMDb can only allow a minimum of one star rating and not zero or even in the negatives. For this show deserve -10 Stars.
