A transaction between two sets of mobsters is interrupted by the police headed up by Superintendent Tsang (Alex Man) and Madam Tong (Sibelle Hu). Bing (Moon Lee) also interferes, and her interaction allows them to escape. Yuet Chai (Ray Lui) helps his father who is one of the criminals to escape also. Following this event, the father is killed and Yuet Chai seeks revenge. The mastermind behind it all is Shing (Francis Ng) who plans to wipe out anyone that interferes with his efforts to become the main boss. Yin (Chan Wai-man) is forced to betray his boss who is also Bing's father when his wife and family are kidnapped. He tries to make things right in a doomed rescue attempt, but his recorded confession sets both sides up for a violent and explosive confrontation.
Rather confusing Kung fu stew that stars Moon Lee as a gangster's daughter and Sibelle Hu as a cop. Moon Lee's character motivation is kept hidden until later. A lot of things that occur are unclear. Also the story gets tedious, however the action is intense and superb. The opening sequence at the funfair stands out. Of course, the finale is frenetic with the three actors almost dying for the sake of entertainment. They got injured badly due to the explosion. They jumped out of the building and due to there being too much gunpowder they were engulfed in flames. Watch it mainly for the action!

"Red Force 3` a.k.a. `Megaforce 2' was now re-re-released as `Ultra Force 2' on (German language) DVD, which is not only confusing but also misleading, since there's already another `Ultra Force 2' around in Europe (starring Michelle Yeoh, and nothing to do with this one).
"Lie mo qun ying" tells the story of an aging gangster boss who is chased by the police and his own men, too - since his young rival Shing wants to become the new leader of the gang. The first half hour of the film starts rather promising, since a mysterious young woman tries to confuse the opponents and seemingly (!) is on nobody else's side in the chase. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes the movie turns into a permanent gunfight. Not really sophisticated, wasting a lot of ammunition and not telling us anything new, so finally it ends up as an average genre movie only (voted 5/10). Worth watching for fans of Moon Lee, though.
The Germany-16 rated disc runs for only 76 minutes, although the cover states 86! Must be one of those strange, purely accidental printing errors ;-) But at least the picture quality is very good for a cheapo.

WUSSTEST DU SCHON:
- WissenswertesBefore the end credits, a card - read aloud by a narrator - states: "At 7 pm on 19th May, 1989, Wa Wai Chung Sibelle Hu, Li Sai Fung Moon Lee and Lu Liang Wai Ray Lui acted the explosion shots in person. They were challenging death with their lives. Unluckily the gunpowder is too much and the flame wrapped round them. Wu Wai Chung and Li Sai Fung were seriously injured. We are sending our best regards to Wu Wa Chung, Li Sai Fung and Lu Liang Wai." The jump off the second story building ended in hospital with the stars admitted for severe burns.
