I enjoy comedy but I tend to get bored by cliche and repetition in a lot of the sitcoms on TV. Just shoot me is one of the funniest and most original sitcoms on TV. The characters are unique and well thought out. The relationships between the characters are a character in themselves. Unlike a lot of other sitcoms, the actors don't over act, their coolness is hysterical. Finch (David Spade) has me rolling around the floor. Elliot (Enrico Colantoni) makes tears come out of my eyes, and I listen attentively when Jack Gallo (George Segal) has a thought provoking "life experience" story to tell. I enjoy the cryptic magazine comments and the impeccable skills of Nina Van Horn and Laura San Giacomo (AKA the Pretty Woman).
My all time favorite Just Shoot Me moment. The "Psycho" edition. Finch tries to convince Elliott that the movie Psycho didn't scare him. Elliott sets Finch up in the kitchen and Finch freezes: HYSTERICAL. I laugh when I think about it.

When I first watched this show, I must admit, it did not much appeal to me. But once the vibrant characters are etched in your mind, Just Shoot Me is hilarious, unmissable viewing. Not since Newsradio has a sitcom been so witty, and at the same time so outrageous in it's comedy style as Just Shoot Me. A highlight episode (the one that really won me over) features Mark Hammil, who, surprisingly becomes very enthusiastic to recieve the friendship of Finch, Blush magazine's Star Wars geek. Overall, the show is highly recommended!
This show is smart, sarcastic, and funny. I love it. David Spade and George Segal are hysterical, and I love the character of Elliot. An all-around terrific show.
In England this show came after Cheers, Friends and Everyone Loves Raymond which are very difficult acts to follow But it did it with a resounding 10 out of 10. The 5 main character I can't fault their performances were so good. The comedy was excellent and each character had their different strengths though I suspect that Jack Gallow was the fatherhead figure. I also found that the people who made guest appearances or new characters were of top quality. However the final episode was an absolute classic and the tears on the faces I suspect were real because the series and there working together was coming to an end. Very sadly the end of era that has been replaced in the UK by repeats of Everyone Loves Raymond which doesn't seem so funny after Shoot me. I must say that the ending of Shoot me was so superior to the end of Diane Chambers leaving Cheers which was abysmal. Lets hope these people aren't consigned to oblivion after the end of the series like so many people of successful sitcoms seem to be.
Are you people insane? Have you lost your mind? Let me understand this: Scrubs has a score of 8.3, but Just shoot me is 6.8?! In what universe? The Internet must be broken.
Just shoot me has incredibly sharp comedic acting, very clever dialogue, and is edgy ahead of its time.
