Reems is a Blast as Holmes

Sherlick Holmes (Harry Reems) and Watson (Zebedy Colt) find themselves being transported from their 1800's London to the 1970's New York City where they run into countless loose women. Before long they sleep with one too many and a crazy pimp (Bobby Astyr) comes after them.

SHERLICK HOLMES is without a doubt one of the best acted, most dramatic and intense films that I've ever seen. It's really amazing to think that this porno spoof manages to be one of the greatest Holmes adaptations to ever grace the screen. Actually, all of that is a lie because this thing here is downright silly from start to finish and it's that campy appeal that makes it rather entertaining and worth watching.

The real highlight here is Reems as Holmes. He actually does a very good job in the role and his comic timing is perfect for the part. He's obviously familiar with the character and manages to bring an actual performance and this here allows the character to come to life. Yes, most of the action is hardcore sex but Reems is really funny here. I also thought Colt was good and also funny in the role of Watson. The two men share several women as well as a nice chemistry.

At 74-minutes the film does eventually run out of stream as it's pretty much a one-note joke throughout. With that said, there's some fun to be had here and fans of Reems will certainly want to check it out.
