A Coming of Angels

This adult spoof of "Charlie's Angels" arrived when the popularity of the TV series was in full swing, and it gave viewers a chance to see their favorite female detectives doing the kind of things that they had always fantasied about.

Although there is a certain amount of bondage in this film, it does not get "too rough" or out of hand. Jamie Gillis is the kinky pervert who is kidnapping young women and selling them into white slavery, and John Leslie is totally fun as one of Jamie's henchmen. The cast is good looking, and the sex is hot, especially the scenes with Leslie Bovee who is in top form in this film.

It might have been TRUE, in 1977 when this movie came out, it was cutting edge - Hardcore porn! But now, in 2013 it is basically an "R" rated movie! John Leslie has 4 scenes & in all 4 of them, the woman he is paired with, all stop short of finishing the job (mid-scene) & leave him wanting? There is only one, well kind of cum shot, but not really, we just see a small glob of white stuff, it could be BJ spit, or liquid soap(?) & we don't see it shooting out (just dripping on the side?) we have to assume that Gillis came & Abigail swallowed most of it? They used to fake male orgasms frequently back then, using Ivory dish soap, especially in BJ scenes, no wonder women don't like to swallow, Ivory dish soap would make anyone gag? Sure, we see a lot of the womens bodies & a few gratuitous mens shots, but no gyno shots, the womens pubic hair covers most of their lady parts up? If you want to see a more hardcore movie see "The girl with the dragon tattoo", it is more risqué than this movie! Lesllie Bovee, I did not even recognize her, she looked Nothing like the Lesllie Bovee in her porn movies? Annette Haven was barely in this movie, 1 B/G & 1 Lesbian scene, no endings, which is VERY rare for her! Abigail Clayton spent most of her time moping around nude, pouting? For Susan McBain, she basically had just a few cameo nude shots, consoling Abigail, no sex. Amber Hunt could have stole the show here, but she was stopped in the BJ scene as soon as Leslie got hard & in her main scene with Leslie, the Gillis character told him to LEAVE, after 30 sec of penetration! For more Amber Hunt check out "Cry for Cindy" or "Candy Stripers" where she actually has sex, WOW what an unsung short-timer (only 12 movies) she made Ginger Lynn look like an under developed, plain looking, Tomboy! Oh, one more thing that this movie had, that 70's porn is famous for... they would intro & setup a scene & before you could hear as much as a moan, they cut all the sound off & replaced it with stupid music? It reminded me of "Deep Throat" - the Blowing Bubbles song - I guess back then they thought a woman moaning during sex was too Crude & Nobody wanted to hear that anyway? Overall "A coming of Angels" is a teaser movie, if you have ever seen the trailer for this movie & it got you interested, realize that you have seen the BEST parts of the movie there! I was very disappointed!

And at the time I was to stunned to have a critical opinion on it. Having seen it since, it has too much S & M for my taste. Ron Jeremy is young and thin but still hideous. Amber Hunt, a personal favorite has nearly every scene interrupted. All in all not a great flick.

I saw this film almost thirty years ago. You would think they stole a script from the then famous TV show and added sex scenes. They even cast Jacklyn Smith lookalike Annette Haven as a Kelly Garrett type character. The story revolves around a gang of baddies who kidnap young beautiful girls and force them to be hookers. (NOt an original idea.) Of course the three heroines save the day, (Freeze or I'll blow your tits off.) Jacklyn/Annette even ties up Jamie Gillis, rides him and leaves after she's satisfied. It would be kind of cool to see this on DVD now.All in all, i'd give it 5 out of ten
