TG Ravi is an estate owner . His gullible faithful wife Meena is always by his side supporting and guiding him . He shows special interest in his workers especially pretty Jalaja . Her colleagues are always teasing her about him. She keeps trying to evade him every time .

She's in love with Sukumaran her colleague . Mamooty also keeps chasing her . This leads to a lot of squabbles between the two.

Sukumaran is on the run as he ends up killing some one due to haste .

Jalaja realises that she is now carrying and her mother throws her out . Seeing his chance , Mamooty proposes marriage . She agrees unwittingly fearing society .

When the estate manager comes to her bearing gifts she refuses .

Mamooty turns out to be a caring father and a responsible husband . Jalaja settles down to her life with him slowly .

Its revealed later that the estate owner is actually the biological father of Jalaja . He had disowned her mother and she was brought up by his worker .

After a few days Sukumaran escapes and comes back to the village .

He is aghast at learning that his Jalaja is now happily married . He tries to take back his daughter . A lot of fights take place between Mamooty and himself . In the end the police come and again catch Sukumaran . Mamooty and Jalaja are left behind to continue their lives with her daughter .

A parallel story of Unni Mary ( Jalaja's step sister ) and Rajkumar also runs . He is a vagabond and takes to substances . Anuradha comes in a small role as a dancer . She has a great figure and leaves an impact on us .

Rajkumar falls prey to a lot of diseases and health problems due to such habits .

He dies quietly in the end repenting for his mistakes and habits . The estate manager realises that his own wrong doings with Jalaja are now responsible for this state of his son .

Pramila comes in a small role as a local toddy seller .

A tight knit family drama . Not a dull moment . Some fine songs are thrown in . Fully shot in lush green Munnar the locales are soothing to the eye.
