In Seattle, after the wake of the college student Jake Cort died in a car crash, a young man arrives at the cemetery and tells Jake's sister Greer that he is "Ray Bell", Jake's friend from college and he meets her mother Mrs. Cort. He leaves the place and when Mrs. Cort is looking at her son's grave, she is pulled into the grave and is violently stabbed. Ray Bell is actually James Dickerson, a young man on probation that lives under the night supervision of Connor at a house for convicts. He visits another funeral, where he befriends the young woman, Tina. They leave the house and stop at a lake, where Tina is drowned. Frank Black and Peter Watts are investigating the case, and they succeed to identify Dickerson. However, he claims that he is not the killer, and Frank continues to investigate the case and brings Dickerson's biological mother Mrs. Peggy Dechant to help to interrogate her son.
"Blood Relatives" is a sad episode of "Millennium", where the prime suspect of several murders is a needy young man. In this episode, Catherine Black has a greater participation than in the precious episodes. The identity of the killer is the great twist of this episode. My vote is seven.
