Wicked Pictures contract cameraman Francois Clousot had his first directing effort for the label with "Tiffany's", originally titled "Breakfast for Two", both hints that his script was riffing on the classic Truman Capote movie. Main characters even speak lyrics from "Moon River" as if they were naturally having a conversation.
It's not parody, but rather a soggy, sentimental sort of romance, hardly what porn fans crave. Contract star Jessica Drake is a free spirit who we soon discover is a prostitute after Barrett Blade pays her after a routine sex scene at her place. Her new neighbor is Eric Masterson, a writer who is also a "kept man", servicing sexually his slightly older woman patron Maya Divine, who symmetrically leaves money for him after getting serviced.
Of course our two leads will gravitate toward each other and end up in the sack together, en route to a sad ending. Besides reducing most of the cast to mere sex performers (unnamed and not given characterizations or dialog), Clousot has an unfortunate structure that wraps up the XXX sex and leaves the last reel or so to maudlin tying up of plot threads, ending on a down note and then throwing in some dumb bloopers as a chaser.
Randy Spears gets a blow-job from his real-life wife Demi Delia, claimed as her first boy/girl scene on screen in her BTS short subject interview. Clousot directed Drake years before when they were toiling at Sin City Entertainment, but in this Wicked team-up he doesn't give her a cogent role, just a chance to be alternately peppy and otherwise sad.
An interview on the DVD as bonus has intriguing details about Clousot's background, after growing up in France he turned to porn when down and out in L.A., apprenticing with the likes of Jace Rocker, Jim Enright and (horror of horrors) Max Hardcore. Clearly this dreary effort is a case of over-reach.
