Skin Deep: The Battle Over Morgellons

Pi Ware and team look at a horrible illness from all sides. It is a moving film showing the struggle and despair of having a misunderstood illness from a patient perspective and how when Dr.s don't know or believe the patient they are so quick to shrug it off to a mental illness. The research is laid out clearly and the film is interesting the entire time. Definitely a must see!!

This incredible documentary exposes the debilitating difficulties and barriers to effective treatment that Morgellon sufferers experience. The film dives deep into the denialism conventional medicine has towards emerging illnesses and how this attitude can have severe consequences when it comes to funding, needed research, patient care and treatment for these diseases. This is a must see for anyone looking for a better understanding of Morgellons.

Very eye opening documentary about a little known disease. It's heartbreaking to see what these patients have had to endure. I hope this serves as a turning point to get these patients proper treatment.

Seriously, if you can somehow create a fiber of an unknown substance and implant it under your skin and makes it grow, whether intentionally or by mental disease, that's some great contribution to science and you should get a Nobel prize. I mean come on, explain to me, how can it be fake when it's literally observable under scope and also researched with the database? Doesn't make any sense.

This film follows the lives of various Morgellons patients, and demonstrates how the condition has garnered a second look by independent researchers. Through this film you will feel the elation, desperation, fear and devastation Morgellons patients routinely endure. Above all this documentary is a Good Story. The characters are relatable and the scenarios are interesting. The sound design is Superb! I can highly recommend seeing Skin Deep for an entertaining, and informative, evening.
