Naya, a novelist who accidentally finds an old diary from the new house she lives in with her sister. The diary is used by Naya for her novel story. However, something happened to Naya and her sister.

Ghost Writer is an Indonesian film that combines horror and comedy with good execution. A horror story wrapped in dialogue and comedy scenes that provide the perfect balance in this film. Different and unique horror story concepts. The appearance of jumpscares that fit in each scene. The comedy element given both in the form of dialogue and acting is not excessive and appropriate. A comedy that is light to perform but not a comedy that just comes casually. Comedy that is not excessive. Also on the story of the drama that is not excessive. Showing family drama in the last act makes the atmosphere touched by sadness and sympathy for the family story. Everything is able to be delivered snugly and balanced. The plot of the story that goes quietly, does not give a rushed story nor does it slow down. The dialogue used is so light and uses non-formal language that it gives a strong approach to the audience.

Ghost Writer is one of the finest Indonesian horror comedies in recent years, and I personally would give it a solid 10 out of 10. The film offers a refreshing take amidst the typical horror formula often found in local cinema. Directed by Bene Dion Rajagukguk, Ghost Writer cleverly blends chilling horror, lighthearted humor, and heartwarming family drama in a way that feels seamless and genuinely entertaining.

The storytelling flows naturally, keeping the audience curious without feeling forced to be scared. The eerie atmosphere is well maintained but balanced with comedic moments that ease the tension perfectly. Tatjana Saphira shines as Naya, delivering a natural and engaging performance. The supporting cast - Deva Mahenra, Ernest Prakasa, and Endy Arfian - also contribute memorable characters that enhance the film's overall charm.

As horror movie its below average of course but as comedy its the best .. you will laugh to the max for toilet scene and adult magazine... Moh Iqbal Sulaiman and Endy Arfian, you stole the thunder... awesome

First off let me say, the only reason I watched this was because I found it when I was searching for the english kids series ghostwriter and stumbled onto this, I thought they had made a movie and started watching it before I realized this was not related to that at all. Having said that, for some reason I found myself continuing to watch the movie all the way to the end and found it a fun and enjoyable little experience.

Let me add that even though the genre says horror this is more of a comedy movie than a horror one, there are a couple of jump scares and a few creepy moments at the very beginning but it quickly passes and turns into a completely funny movie. I had no problem with this but for anyone looking for a scary/horror experience this is definitely not it.

Tl;dr this was a fun little comedy that is enjoyable if you don't want to think too much and just want to chill and watch something.

Simply refreshing, good jokes, specially if you speak bahasa, Quite thriling horor scene, and also have the touch of family warmth. Its like another ernest things,i mean, a good movie to watch.
