A young man victim of insidious local. A brave woman saving him. Both, on the way, in post apocalyptic time. A confrontation. And the proof of cold pragmatism of young man.

The accents / atmosphere of western, the game of apparences, the twist and the good acting and, sure, few so familiar scenes are the basic virtues of this well crafted short film about survive and limits of gratitude.

Few references - from slavery to the brave lady are more than inspired used . Like the moral itself. David Snyder proposing a good work and Britanny Faith Rosoff in a role with powerful flavors of old West loner.

The concept of Catfish Dinner is pretty intriguing: a Wild West story set in a more or less post-apocalyptic future. Much like in the old days, the protagonist is a young man leaving behind city life to seek a new beginning in the North, where he has a claim to a piece of land. But trouble lies ahead-namely, outlaws with sinister intentions. Overall, the acting is solid across the board, and the characters are well-suited to the story. What surprised me most, though, was the major plot twist that came out of nowhere.
