Stressed to Death

It's so bad, I think it's a joke! The actors suck, the director sucks, the script sucks, the cameramen suck. How could a TV movie like that even exist?

This thriller is surprisingly well constructed and comes together well. An EMT who has military PTSD has to choose to save one over another during a hold up. The widow of the one who died sets up an elaborate scheme to kidnap and kill her family in front of her. It's quite exciting as she uses her skills. There are some surprisingly funny parts.

Everyone sucks at acting in this movie, the plot is stupid, mom is weak and makes poor decisions, daughter is an idiot, dad is dumber than a doorknob, the villain is unconvincing and boring, and the hitmen are comical.....only redeeming character may be Alston because he was semi good looking. 0/10. I like bad lifetime movies usually but this was BAD bad.

A poorly conceived premise (not worth repeating here) gives way to a lot of shouting, soapy drama, threats of gunfire, shootouts, bleedouts and an awful lot of grey duct tape to restrain the abducted (gag, bind wrists & ankles, slit with knife and run away...gag, bind wrists & ankles, slit with knife, run away....rinse & repeat...yada yada).

As the main protagonists/antagonists are in a heightened state of emotion throughout this yarn (rage, panic, anger, reunion joy, aforementioned PTSD accompanied by brain fog - and that's brain fog for the poor 'bar stewards' who find themselves watching this big fat turkey that won't squeeze into the oven!) there's little to engage the viewer on an intellectual level, ermmm...you know, witty banter and a gripping narrative with intriguing plot points...I suspect rookie writers worked on this gem of a stinker.

If this is the Primal Scream pyscho drama as a TV flick, then it's one of the weakest TV flicks I've seen in a very long time! My other reviews testify to that fact.

The 1 out of 10 rating delivered by many reviewers is well-deserved.

This movie was stupid. The plot was easy to figure out. Then you have this woman who was a corps member but who's weak as hell. I mean dnt they give some kind of training in the corps and 't fight for damn sure can't shoot. Her and the daughter breathing real loud but tryna getaway. Who let's the killer knw they're escaping by breathing loud and out of breath. And why are you out of breath your not doing anything but sitting. I don't know who greenlighted this but they missed the mark. It was unreality.
