History's Greatest Hoaxes

You watch these forty minute episodes and find maybe five minutes worth of anything in them. Lots of fluff and filler, lots of the hoaxers presenting their lies and made to seem far more plausible than they deserve.

Case in point, the alien autopsy fraud that fooled no one and was widely mocked before it even aired. Here grainy black and white footage of an obvious Halloween alien dummy costing all of ten bucks mixed with some chunks of scraps from a butcher is presented as "amazing" and "clever" and having "everyone going wow, could it be true?"

Hidden in the 40 minutes is a single man calling it out as ridiculous. On all other sides you have a comedian, a pop psychologist, and a celebrity agent as "experts."

If you're bored enough, fast forward to the couple minutes worth viewing.

I thought this would be interesting and it might have been if it were an hour long show instead of six boring episodes where each "expert" gives their opinion and adds facts that are often wrong (the cave men were afraid of the the big bad dinosaurs. She's off her timeline by around 65 million years, but she's the expert?) One of the experts thinks it's his job to add humor, but he isn't funny. And the list goes on and on and on. And each "expert" says the same thing differently, but we have to listen to each one of them on each episode. Did I say that already?? Oops.

This was a waste of time. But it's a good one to have on for background noise if you need to do something else - like vacuum.

2 episodes in(on a free service that puts Alien Autopsy as episode 1), and a review of who was in what episode, the 5 "experts" constant across the series is headlined by a psychologist with no career, a "comedian"/"writer" who has no actual comedy career and of 25 books he claims to write only one is in print(him crying about his loss of God after his friend died), and Joe Nickell(columnist for the "Skeptical Inquirer", essentially the mirror edge to "National Enquirer"... who probably took $5us to say anything they wanted because his actual job would fall apart if any of these "hoaxes" were proven true.

TLDR; not worth your time. Read the articles that are everywhere rather than wasting your time watching painful reenactments

Every one of these stories you have been told before. News outlets begging for their viewers to stay indoors because "aliens are among us." Or, a guy who "looked like" John Travolta was walking his cat on a leash.

Take all of that viewership and put it into one last, "We'll make a ton of money from summarizing this garbage!" and you'll have this show.

It's boring, bland, derivative, and completely uninspired. Like Whoopie Goldfish and Oprah what's her name. Headlines for money and fish & chips for free.

From what I can gather, Hitler was a guy, and an alien was dissected in Roswell New Mexico. Yes. There's a NEW Mexico. The old one is not so good. Coincidence? Yes, by the word's definition. Two unrelated things happening at the same time.

I paid Comcast for Internet and now here I am, writing reviews on a money grabbing opportunistic documentaries. Coincidence? Nope. Some would say inevitable. Blame Comcast and Al and Tippy for inventing the Internet.
