Are We Lost Forever

The movie opens with two men slowly - very slowly - discussing their breakup. That continues - slowly, depressingly, pointlessly - for the next hour and 45 minutes. As with another reviewer, I was begging for the end.

Also, this movie contains one of the least likeable protagonists imaginable. If you want someone to root for, Adrian isn't it.

Fantastic movie from Sweden... I honestly don't understand why this movie has got such a low rate, the movie is absolutely relatable, the actors are great and they storyline really flows.

Highly recommended.

Short, a beautiful film. Not only at the aesthetic level, but for a sort of honest portrait of the break- up of a relation, for the clean story, for the ignore of excesses. For the clarity . And, sure, for the acting. It is easy to criticize it . But its basic, significant virtue is to be a mirror. It reflects basic realities, familiar emotions, well known feelings and not comfortable said words.It propose a wise way to build his character by Bjorn Elgard, making his Adrian realistic, dark, vulnerable, easy recognizable in many fellows of us or, maybe, in ourselves. It propose a complex love story. And it did that in fair, smart and delicate manner. So, a very special film. Not th last, for the magnificent end - the photography is one of the motives for define in this way.

Talented actors and good cinematography do not save the show, due to the poor screenplay. The dialogue is simply not believable; the characters express their emotions as if they had been watching daytime soap operas all their lives.

First of all, this isn't a bad film - but it's not necessarily a good one.

I get what they were trying to achieve with the story and characters but it missed the mark for me. The acting is okay and production is reasonable but neither elevate the story.

The film is perhaps a bit slow in pacing and by the hour mark I was begging for the end. I managed to finish the film without giving up but was left feeling very depressed and like I had wasted hours of my life... but maybe that was the point - in a breakup you are left feeling depressed and that it was all a waste of time?! Not sure the film was THAT clever though.
