The Babysitter

I just saw this movie with no expectations but the movie turns out to be great. The story was good nothing new but very well paced with great suspense and acting especially the acting by lead character the babysitter Give it a try you will not be disappointed. I started to like LMN movies!

After an hour the movie still hadn't picked up. You'd think two women gone missing would be interesting but it wasn't. There's just a whole bunch of talky scenes that'll make you start falling asleep waiting for something interesting to happen.

I was however slightly entertained by one of the actors who sported blond hair on his head and a full red beard over his face and wondering why on earth he would choose such a weird color combo. Maybe he was color blind I guess, but someone really should've alerted him to how ridiculous he looked. I kept trying to figure out which was his natural color in this huge bore fest, the beard or the hair....that was the real mystery here.

So, in virtually the first shot we see an aircraft landing, supposedly in the USA. Clearly it's a Ryanair plane. The idea that you could fly Ryanair for a trans-Atlantic crossing, and would actually PAY to do so, even though Ryanair don't cross the Atlantic, is to stretch the imagination much too far. It's bad enough flying local. You're welcome.

College student Cassie Temple is home alone while her parents are on vacation. Her summer internship fell through. She encounters Chloe Paine and daughter Becca at the park. Chloe offers her a babysitter job. Chloe goes missing and Sheriff Hayes investigates. The Sheriff is already under fire from Glenn Raymond for failing to find his missing wife Mallory Raymond. Glenn happens to work Chloe's husband Tom Paine. Suspicion is that both cases are related.

There are two missing good looking white women. It should be big tabloid news. More stuff should be happening in this movie. Following the babysitter may not be the most compelling investigative track. After setting up the premise, the movie moves slowly, too slowly. Cassie is no Nancy Drew and that gets frustrating. The cop is worst and he's supposed to be a professional. The mystery is rather obvious at a certain point. This is an ok Lifetime mystery if one is not expecting smart characters, smart writing, or good production.
