Izolacija

"Izolacija" tries to be many different things at once. What started as a really cool horror premise turned out to be a generic "reality show" mess.

Bikovic is one of the, if not the most famous Serbian actor today and he is really, well bad in here. There are certain scenes in movie with him which made me chuckle bcs of how bad this man pulled it off. Seemed like he didnt really care, or they filmed one take and said : "Yea thats a good one".

As for the plot , as I said already, film starts promising. Decent scenery and setup, some spooky nicely filmed scenes and when we reach second half of the movie, all that fails apart.

Most interesting character ( and best actor btw ) was the dude who played Sreten. Too bad movie wasted him, he could have been some kind of Serbian Jason Vorhees.

I just watched this movie in the theater, and while it had a promising premise, it ultimately fell short in execution. Some scenes were decently filmed, and you could tell there was an interesting idea at its core. However, the film tried to include too many concepts at once. Unfortunately, this mash-up felt like bad scrambled eggs. An unbalanced mix that never fully came together.

The potential was there, but it felt wasted. Even Milos Bikovic, a famous actor, couldn't save it. His performance was surprisingly mid, lacking the depth and energy needed to carry the film. At times, his acting felt flat and uninspired, which only added to the movie's overall mediocrity.

While the movie had its moments, it left me wishing it had focused on one idea and explored it more thoroughly.

To put it simply, the film is below average. The opening section gives the impression of yet another serbian movie that's neither great nor terrible but attempts to explore a genre we rarely see in local cinema. The cinematography starts off promisingly, visually appealing scenes and a storyline intriguing enough to keep you interested, though nothing groundbreaking.

However, as the film progresses, its flaws become increasingly apparent. The story starts to feel repetitive and confusing, while the performances of the actors grow less and less convincing. Then comes the film's turning point, a plot twist so poorly thought-out that it's arguably the worst I've ever seen in serbian movies. From that moment, the entire film falls apart. It devolves into a chaotic mess with a cheap storyline, pointless new characters, and acting performances so bad that a random person from street could have done better.

Adding insult to injury is the blatant inclusion of product placements, featuring brands completely irrelevant to the film's theme. The most frustrating of all is the unavoidable presence of Mozzart, the betting company that seems to appear in most of our films and music videos, further undermining any sense of artistic integrity.

I strongly recommend skipping this film.
