This Medal of Honor title has been dedicated to the airborne division of the United States military. They fought in WW2 and still, if they have to defend the United States, will do so again.
The graphics could be better it is almost as if I was playing this game on the original Xbox or a Playstation 2. If you are going to undertake a project such as this you have to do it justice.
Every mission you start you jump out of an aircraft to kill Nazi soldiers. Landing where the green flare has been set off can be crucial. Where each mission has a green flare to indicate a "safe zone" that is.
A bit of history is in this game it has been based on real WW2 missions with famous quotes during the loading screens.
Just buy it, cheap as chips.

In a nutshell this is a WW2 FPS shooter on steroids, but with less history and atmosphere than Pacific Assault. For example, despite the fact that an historical adviser was present, it lacks any interesting historical notes and deeper references to WW2 history.
Maybe it's because I was playing this on a Quad core system, but the combat is SO fast. It reminded me of the days of UT 99. It's good to see that Unreal engine can still deliver. So that's the good news. The player can really test their skills and reaction times.
The criticisms from some quarters are justified, they keep the game designers on their toes. But credit is due. I was constantly gasping at the level design. They are very complex levels with cohesive environments that feel real. They seem built rather than cobbled together in some editor.
A worthy edition to the series, but if you want a deeper historical experience try Pacific Assault.

"Medal of Honor: Airborne" is yet another World War II shooter where you're dropped into the thick of battle - quite literally. The game's main gimmick is the ability to choose your parachute landing spot at the start of each mission. But once you've landed, that's pretty much where the list of fresh ideas ends. And even that idea, in hindsight, might not have been all that great to begin with.
The story? It's there. As usual, it's straightforward: you play as a brave paratrooper sent to fight across various fronts, from Sicily to multiple European locations. But the narrative doesn't really pull you in. There are no standout characters, no thrilling moments - nothing that sticks with you or makes you want to return to the game later just to relive something memorable. It's just another military shooter where you methodically clear objectives.
I finished the game simply because I started it. Around the second or third mission, I realized I was going through the motions - playing on autopilot. Not a single mission surprised me. The levels were uninspired, the visuals were serviceable but far from impressive, and even the firefights felt like checking boxes: infiltrate, clear the area, move on. As for the atmosphere of war? It's there in theory, but it feels like the developers didn't bother with the details and just aimed for "another WWII shooter".
At release, the game looked... fine. Not bad, but not eye-catching either. It feels like the devs could've pushed further but either lacked time or motivation. The cinematic moments - the kind that make you hold your breath - are few and far between, which is disappointing for a series that once aimed to deliver its stories with style and flair.
As for the AI, it's either schizophrenic or just poorly implemented. Sometimes enemies act smart, taking cover, flanking, and actually posing a challenge. Other times they seem tired of fighting and just run straight into your bullets like they're trying to clock out early. Teammates aren't much better - they might have your back in one battle and then charge into gunfire like cardboard cutouts in the next.
"Medal of Honor: Airborne" doesn't excite or anger me - it just exists. I played it, I finished it, and I forgot about it. Sure, the parachuting mechanic is neat (at first), but it's nowhere near enough to make the game memorable.
6 out of 10.

Terrible mechanics so buggy u can barley even jump Horrible game
Both this game and Vanguard came out the same year and airborne is executed better than vanguard alot. Both game implement same ideas like weapon upgrades and parachuting, but airborne implemented both things better therefore being a better game
