Agent Toby Barks

Im just trying to figure out if this is supposed to be a spin off on agent cody banks or not.

This movie isn't the best, to be honest. The camera keeps shaking constantly wich is very annoying. But the poor acting and the very unbelievable scenes just made me laugh a lot!

I thought this would be fun to watch with the kids. The 7 and 9 year olds found it as terrible as I did. Give it a miss.

So this is what they decide to do to end the "Cody Banks" trilogy... they change the lead to a dog and call him "Toby Barks"?... why would anybody put their effort into making a movie like this? I just don't get it.

I like how on the actual movie's into itself and on a streaming service its listed as Spy Dog because it thinks that its audience won't understand that the title Agent Tony Barks alongside a picture of a dog in sunglasses is about a dog that's a spy.

A bizzare mix of half-effort lazy performances and over-the-top cringe performances that'd make Channel Awesome members blush.

I particularly liked how the dog's mouth doesn't consistently move while it's talking. The final line of the movie is the dog's voice actor saying something incredibly enthusiastic while the actual dog has a look of mild fear and confusion on its face.

I'm putting this in my so bad its good movies list but... ehh it's not one of the best. It has a few funny moments but doesn't stand out as that horrendously enjoyable. If you want to watch a truly epic animal secret agent movie I'd recommend C. I. Ape over this any day. Alternatively, for a hilariously bad talking dog movie, Love on a Leash is preferable.
