This live action film is surprisingly good. The only problems with it was it was somewhat rushed, the characters are aged up, and the effects of the demons aren't the best, but that's basically it. Fortunately the demons don't appear very much throughout the movie so I can give their appearance a pass. The acting is solid. Although, Emma, Norman and Ray are clearly not the same age and Emma looks a little too much like an adult. The music is great. The props, sets and costumes are all accurate to the manga/anime. And the story is overall a faithful adaptation despite cutting a few things for time. It also includes a few things that the first arc of the manga didn't include such as Norman's conversation with Peter Ratri right after he is shipped out. Overall, this is definitely one of the better live action adaptations of a manga/anime. I wouldn't recommend it over reading the first arc of the manga or watching the first season of the anime, but if you're a fan of The Promised Neverland, you should certainly check it out!
Despite the film performing well, I unfortunately don't see them making a sequel to this since the next arc in the manga would be pretty difficult to adapt into live action, but I think the first arc works pretty well as a self contained story so it's still worth watching imo.

The last time I read the manga was in 2021. I missed them so much so I tried to watch the live action and regretted that I just watched it. I really liked this masterpiece! All the characters were played so well that I shed tears. The music and atmosphere are really well done. The CGI of the live action is so good that I got a little scared when I saw the monsters. Although it's too late, I really hope that there will be a the next live-action with the same story from the manga. I'll remember it for the rest of my life, after this I'll watch season 1 again and read the manga.
Big Thanks to Kaiu Shirai, Posika Demizu, the entire cast, director, and team who made this masterpiece!!

I really enjoy this film! The three main actors were really good in it. Minami Hamabi was born to be a Star. The plot goes fast compared to the Manga and the Anime but it works well for the film and with what is trying to do. The cinematography is superb in the film and the Deamons are not very scary but that's Ok, they work for the story. I recommend reading the Manga after watching the film for more details to the story. Highly recommended film!
I read the entire manga and watched the anime version. This is entirely my personal opinion of this live-action:
- PLOT: Since the producer tried to compressed lot of content into a 2h movie, the pace is rush and many details have to be changed/ignored and I can understand that. But there are some important details that link directly to the story, like the age of children, are also changed (I guess because the age of the actors).
- ACTING: It's alright, they do sort of have the elements that represent the characters, but sometimes it feels a little excessive.
- VISUAL: The demons look scary, children are cute, the house and forest kind of have the normal-but-mysterious vibe
After watching the anime, I can say that the film is pretty much scene for scene taken from the first season. Some details were slightly changed, some scenes removed, which kind of takes away from the smartness of the story, but what can you do in just two hours. And it feels like it was actually adapted from the anime, not the manga, even if it adds some elements that are relevant only to the rest of the story.
That being said, what the hell were those wigs?! All the "children" were wearing wigs that just looked plastered on their heads. You could have just used normal hair, ffs! There is nothing wrong with "recasting" the hair.
Bottom line: same story, but a bit lackluster. I recommend just watching the first season of the anime and stop there.
